TrueCoach prices by one thing: how many clients you actively coach. The plans we recorded run $26.34, $57.99 and $136.99 a month on the annual billing view, for up to 5, 20 and 50 active clients. So the honest answer to how much TrueCoach costs is a follow-up question of its own. How many clients are you coaching right now, and how fast is that number growing?

We pulled the live pricing on 11 August 2026. TrueCoach, owned by Xplor, is personal training software built for one job: remote, one-to-one online coaching. It is not gym-management software and does not pretend to be. There is no class scheduling, no membership desk, no front-of-house. What you get instead is deep coaching tooling, and if that is your business, the depth is the point.

The Verdict in One Screen

TrueCoach is a focused, well-built platform for online coaches who program workouts and hold clients accountable between sessions. It is priced by client count and it climbs as you scale.

What TrueCoach Actually Is

TrueCoach is coaching software, narrow and deep. The whole platform is organized around the coach-client loop: you build a program, the client trains from a dedicated app, you both track progress, and you message between sessions. That focus is why it feels clean where broader tools feel busy.

The core every plan includes, per the pricing page:

• Program and workout builder, with 3,500-plus professional exercise videos
• Client management tracker and client dashboard
• Progress tracking with custom metrics, goals and history
• Nutrition and habit tracking through a MyFitnessPal integration
• Real-time in-app messaging with photos, videos and GIFs
• Client onboarding in under two minutes by email or text
• TrueCoach Payments, powered by Stripe, for recurring billing

The exercise library is the standout. Building a workout from 3,500-plus recorded demonstrations, and adding your own, is faster than assembling one by hand, and it is a feature a client will feel every session. Add the MyFitnessPal link for calorie and macro goals, and the day-to-day coaching loop is genuinely complete.

The Pricing: Priced by Clients, Billed by the Year

Here is the structure, and the catch inside it.

Now the catch. Those three prices come from the annual billing view, which TrueCoach advertises as one to two months free versus paying monthly. We did not capture the straight month-to-month numbers, so do not quote yourself $26.34 as a flat monthly rate. It is the annual-equivalent. Toggle to monthly on the live page and read the higher figure before you decide, because a new coach still validating the model may prefer month-to-month flexibility over the annual saving.

So how do you keep the bill down as you grow? Watch the client bands. The jump from Standard to Pro is $79 a month, and it buys you the room between 20 and 50 clients. If you sit at 22 clients, you are paying the Pro price for a handful of extra seats, which is worth a hard look before you upgrade. Past 50 clients, pricing is custom, and you email TrueCoach for a number rather than reading one off a card.

Which Features Are Gated

Not everything is on every plan, and the gates matter. Some of the tools that help you scale sit on the higher tiers only.

The wearables gate is the one to notice. So how much does it really cost to unlock? If pulling client data from an Apple Watch, Garmin or OURA is part of how you coach, you are on Standard at minimum, which moves your floor from $26 to $58 on the annual view, roughly $32 more a month for the connected setup. Zapier automations are Pro-only, so any workflow you want to automate pushes you to the top published tier. Price the plan against the feature you actually need, not the one you would like.

Where TrueCoach Falls Short

No platform is right for everyone, and TrueCoach's limits are real and specific.

The annual-versus-monthly gap is a presentation problem. Leading with the annual-equivalent price makes the entry look cheaper than a month-to-month coach will actually pay, and you have to toggle to learn the real figure. It is not dishonest, but it is easy to misread, and you should read it carefully.

The category fit is deliberately narrow. TrueCoach is remote coaching only. If your business runs classes, sells memberships or needs a booking desk, this is the wrong tool, full stop. It does one job, and it will not stretch to a facility model the way a broader platform will.

The client-band pricing punishes the in-between coach. Sitting just over a band, say 22 or 52 clients, means paying the next tier for a few extra seats. Compared to a flat unlimited-client rival, TrueCoach can cost more per client at those awkward counts, though it can also cost less if you fill a band cleanly.

And the deeper integrations are gated upward. Wearables need Standard, automations need Pro, so the coach who wants a connected, automated setup cannot get there on the entry plan. Budget for the tier your workflow requires, not the one the headline advertises.

Who Should Actually Buy It

Line it up and the fit is sharp. TrueCoach is an excellent choice for the independent trainer or online coach who programs workouts, tracks progress against client goals, and wants a clean, dedicated coaching app without a facility system bolted on. The 3,500-plus exercise library and the MyFitnessPal link make the daily loop fast, and Stripe payments mean you get paid on time.

It is a weaker choice if you run a gym or studio, if you resent paying by client band, or if you want unlimited clients on a flat rate. Those buyers should compare TrueCoach's band pricing against a flat-rate coaching rival at their real client count, and rule it out entirely if they need class booking or memberships.
